Getting ready for a trip to St. Petersburg

October is a great time of golden autumn in St. Petersburg. Parks of the Northern capital have already dressed in gold and are waiting for everyone for walks and atmospheric photo shoots. What to take with you:

  • vareniki in the "Varenichnaya" of Alexander Nevsky Lavra
  • puffs in legendary Pirozhkovaya on Moskovskiy prospekt, 192  (that works since 1956)
  • dishes with season forest mushrooms  
  •  tea with fresh sea buckthorn  

 

What is interesting to do:

  • Rethink the legacy of Muran glass in contemporary art at the exhibition «Glasstress. Window into the future» in the General Staff Building, that will unite 50 modern artists (September 11 — October 31).
  • Plunge into the world of contemporary art at the Hydra exhibition in Sevcabel Port - an impressive installation of contemporary artists working in the field of multimedia art and Art&Science (until January 31).
  •  Visit the Digital Art Gallery «Ziferhaus» in New Holand
  •  Visit «City Tourist Information Office» and buy some official tourist merch: masks, shoppers, fanny packs, cosmetic bags, scarfs, shawls, T-shirts. 
  •  Enjoy a performance at the «Baltic House» International Theater Festival. 
  • Make great autumn photos in the Botanical Garden.
  •  Take part in the «Lermontov Days» Festival (October 14-18), dedicated to the Birthday of the poet. Excursions, exhibitions, master classes, concerts, film screenings, creative meetings await you.
  •  Visit one of the lecture courses of the  #CinemaArtLectorium project.
  • Find an interesting book on «Book Alleys» the Malaya Sadovaya Street, where everyone can finde smth according to his wiches and pocket
