On 6 September at the Palace Square will take place a youth flash mob in order to promote Saint Petersburg as a venue of the 23rd General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)
The the 22nd Session of the UNWTO General Assembly will be held from 11 to 16 September 2017 in Chengdu (PRC), in the framework of which would be taken a decision on the venue of the 23rd Session of the UNWTO General Assembly in 2019.
In this connection, St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development is working on promotion of St. Petersburg as a future venue of the 23rd Session of the UNWTO GA. In order to support the candidacy of St. Petersburg, a flash mob will be held on 6 September 2017, during which about 1500 students of universities in St. Petersburg will gather at the Palace Square
to form the words "UNWTO", "23 GA", "Welcome" and "Visit Petersburg".
