The ceremonial burial of victims of the revolution

On April 5, 1917 the victims of the February revolution were ceremonailly buried

Later a memorial was built on the Marsovo Pole (the Field of Mars). The February revolution resulted in abdication of the emperor Nicholas II, the end of the Romanov dynasty and the formation of the first Russian Provisional Government under the presidency of Georgy Lvov.
