The arrival of Vladimir Lenin to the Finlyandskiy railway station

On April 16, 1917 Vladimir Lenin came back from emigration to Petrograd's Finlyandskiy railway station

On this day Lenin and the revolutionary group, accompanied by two German officers, arrived to the Finlyandsky railway station in Petrograd with the purpose of expanding the Russian Revolution. They succeeded in their goal: the October Revolution occured six months later. Here, on the Finlyandsky railway station, Vladimir Lenin gave the famous speech, standing on an armored car, and in the memory of this event a monument was created.
