Mysterious Wagner's Opera about love and the knights of the Holy Grail
The Duke of Brabant has died leaving his children Elsa and Gottfried in ward of count Telramund, who has also been granted the right to Elsa’s hand in marriage. One day children went to the forest, but Elsa returned alone. An accident occured with her brother - he was transformed into a swan by witch Ortrud, who wanted to marry Telramund.
Elsa was accused of having murdered her brother. Telramund has married Ortrud due to Ortrud's charms. The fratricide is a very serious charge. A punishment can be very severe. Trying to make her excuses Elsa tells her dream of a knight in shining armour who descends from the skies to rescue her from such accusations. Who is he? And how is he going to protect the girl?
