An organization "On a wheelchair without barriers" invites tourism business representatives to take part in a round table on urban environment accessibility and services provided to citizens with limited mobility. The event will be held with a support of City Tourist Information Bureau on 19 April, 2018, in the territory of Expoforum.
A public organization "On a wheelchair without barriers" in the framework of the XIII International Forum "Older generation" will hold a round table on the topic "Improving the accessibility of the urban environment and services for people with limited mobility".
At the event, experts of the organization and invited speakers will answer all questions, including the order of interaction of St. Petersburg authorities in matters related to the formation of accessibility, as well as talk about modern approaches to the formation of a comfortable urban environment and urban projects, and will discuss the experience of some tourist sites in this direction.
After that, a discussion will take place with the participation of representatives of Committee for City Planning and Architecture and the Committee for State Control, Utilization and Protection of Historical and Cultural Landmarks.
And the representatives of Committee for Tourism development, SPb GBU "City Tourist Information Bureau", of the hotel business, leaders of tourism services industry for limited mobility people – specialized travel company for the disabled people LLC "Liberty, LLC "Transport service XXI century" will take part in the section "Tourism of the silver age": assessment of current tourist activity", and will discuss the improvement of accessibility of the urban environment, tourist facilities, subjects of the tourism industry (hotels, hostels, tour operators, transport companies) as a factor for tourism development: progress, obstacles to development and ways to overcome.
