According to the press service of the Metro, since May 14, metro stations of the St. Petersburg subway will begin to duplicate announcements in English language.
This is done for the convenience of foreign fans who will arrive at the World Cup games. On the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th line of the Metro, public announcements will be tested until June 6. In addition to audio announcements, a scrolling text will also be broadcast in English.
The Football World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia including St. Petersburg. Here will be played 4 matches of the group stage, 1/8 finals, 1/2 finals, and the match for third place.
