FIFA World Cup Trophy in St. Petersburg

Last Sunday, May 26, in the framework of the longest host country tour in history, the FIFA World Cup Trophy was presented to the visitors of Gala concert on Palace Square in St Petersburg.

The ceremony was attended by St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko and the Legislative Assembly Chairman Vyacheslav Makarov. Hood that covers the Trophy was removed by ex-player of the national team of Brazil and Arsenal F.C. Gilberto Silva.

From May 29 to June 2, the most coveted award among the best national football teams will be located in a special tent in the Primiosky Park Pobedy (Seaside Victory park), not far from the Saint Petersburg Stadium. There everyone can freely take a picture with it.

FIFA World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia including St. Petersburg. Here will be played 4 matches of the group stage, 1/8 finals, 1/2 finals, and the match for third place.
