St. Petersburg hosts Sailing Champions League

From 3 to 6 August the best yachtsmen in Europe will compete in the heart of Saint Petersburg.

24 yacht clubs from 16 European countries will come to St. Petersburg for participation in the qualifying round of the European Sailing Champions League. Russia's Northern Capital has been hosting these competitions for the third consecutive year. Sailing races, which anyone can watch, will be held on the Neva river near the Peter and Paul Fortress from 3 to 6 August. The organizer of this round of European Sailing Champions League is the Yacht Club of Saint Petersburg.

In the qualifying round of the European Sailing Champions League in St. Petersburg will compete teams that won prizes in the national sailing leagues of their countries. In the waters of Neva the strongest yacht clubs will be competing for a place in the international finals of the League, which will be held in Switzerland in late summer. 

On the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress will be organized a racing village, venues for watching competitions and activity for visitors: a rope cube, beach volleyball, windsurfing training on the shore simulator, sailing simulators for adults and children.
