Tourism forum ‘St. Petersburg – Vietnam’ has opened in St. Petersburg

The ‘St. Petersburg-Vietnam’ Forum has opened in the administrative and business centre ‘Nevskaya Ratusha’. The largest Vietnamese tour operators participated in the event. The event was organized by St. Petersburg Convention Bureau of St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development with the support of the Committee for External Relations.
Within 2 days, participants of the forum will discuss issues, connected with the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between St. Petersburg and Vietnam, creation of terms for additional tourist flows attraction from Vietnam to the Northern capital of Russia. One of the key topics will be the air traffic development: at the Forum site, the discussion with the participation of Vietnamese travel companies and the Russian airline ‘S7 Airlines’ will be held.
Nana Gvichiya, Deputy Chairperson of St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development, expressed the hope for the soon opening of direct flights between St. Petersburg, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Official statistics annually record about two thousand Vietnamese tourists, who arrive in St. Petersburg by air, and more than 50 thousand guests who come to our city from Moscow and other Russian cities.
According to the chairman of the board of directors of the ‘Saigontouristic’ general company Mr Bin, in 2018, about 600 thousand Russian guests visited Ho Chi Minh City.
