“Your surname, given name(s), and patronymic name (if any) must be indicated in the application form precisely as they are indicated in the first machine-readable line of your passport, irrespective of how they are indicated in the visual zone of the passport,” said in one of the changes in rules on Russian Foreign Ministry website - evisa.kdmid.ru
Besides, a calculator that helps to understand the permissible length of stay in the Russian Federation now available on this website. Also, there is an additional warning that any mistake made in the passport data may be a reason for refusing entry.
On January 13, 2020, more than 100 thousand electronic visas issued for entry into St. Petersburg and more than 76 thousand people from 52 countries entered.
The largest number of electronic visas issued to Estonian citizens - about 30 thousand people, France - about 11 thousand people, Latvia - about 11 thousand, Finland - more than 8 thousand people, Germany - about 8 thousand people.
