IKEA hypermarkets return to work on Monday. The stores are to operate with restrictions.
Only one person at a time will be allowed into the furniture display areas (interiors) and a system for counting visitors will be put into operation.
“With this system, the management can track the number of people in the store and control the observance of the social distancing rules. When the number of people in the store reaches the limit, employees will ask clients, who want to enter, to wait for their turn”, - IKEA representatives say.
Before the start of the shift, all employees will have their body temperatures measured, and they will work in masks and gloves. At the retail floors, special markings will be applied so that clients maintain the distance of 1.5 meters between each other. In addition, for safety reasons, protective screens will be installed, and all facilities will be disinfected. Only visitors wearing masks are allowed to enter the stores. The management suggests that petersburgers should pay for their purchases in a non-cash way.
The Swedish food store reopens in IKEA Parnas only; the restaurants, cafes, children's rooms and play areas remain closed in both stores.
