The management company of Pulkovo airport "Air Gates of the Northern Capital" (VVSS) will inform about the resumption of flight programs for carriers to international destinations as requests from airlines are received.
The Pulkovo terminal continues to implement a powerful set of measures against the spread of COVID-19. At the airport, the regime for cleaning and disinfecting premises and contact surfaces, including elevators, stairs, check-in counters, inspection zones, ramps and passenger buses, has been strengthened. For disinfection, means with antiviral activity are used. The air in the Pulkovo terminal is decontaminated using UV recirculators.
Passengers and visitors are regularly informed about COVID-19 prevention measures and the need to use personal protective equipment at the airport over the public address system in the passenger terminal.
There are special markings in the check-in and control areas and at the boarding gates to ensure a safe distance. Information stickers about the need to observe the distance are placed on the seats in the airport waiting rooms.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are installed in Pulkovo’s establishments and public areas along the way from the check-in area to the boarding gates. Passengers and greeters can purchase masks, gloves, antiseptic gels and wipes in special vending machines at the entrance to the airport, in the check-in halls, waiting for domestic flights and baggage collection, as well as in shops and
pharmacies of the airport.
The staff of Pulkovo regularly receives protective masks, gloves, antiseptic wipes and gels. Airport staff passes the thermometry at the shift change. The use of personal protective equipment by personnel is strictly controlled.
