November 27 at 19:00 in the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonia named after D.D. Shostakovich will give a solo concert of the laureate of international competitions Anna Sheludko. The program will feature variations by F. Chopin, L. van Beethoven, R. Schumann, F. Mendelssohn and S.V. Rachmaninov.
According to the pianist, «any variation cycle is a form that most closely resembles a life cycle. Volute after volute, wave after wave ... It seems to us that add new variations to those already written is endlessly possible, but this is not the case, the result is inevitable. And each composer represented in this program has its own temperament and its own results, its own idea of when and how the cycle should end».
