Despite the pandemic restrictions, the number of bookings in Saint Petersburg increased by 15% compared with the previous year. But it fell by almost 20% at the end of the year in Leningrad region.

At the same time the average booking check increased slightly for Saint Petersburg - by 5%, for Leningrad Region - by 25%. Such a large increase in the average check in Leningrad Region is primarily due to the increase in the length of stay, while the average cost of a night has not changed dramatically unless you take into account the New Year's dates.
The top 5 cities from which independent travelers go to Saint Petersburg are Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Tver. 64% of independent travelers booked an apartment this year, 36% - rooms in hotels and mini hotels. Reservations by companies fell by 5%. Most reservations are done by couples - 35% and families - 21%.
Leningrad Region is mostly visited by tourists from Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Gatchina, Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Murmansk. Reservations by companies fell by 22%. Reservations are mainly done by families – 35%, companies and couples - 25-27%.
The number of reservations for recreation centers in Leningrad Region has increased by 12%; tourists are quite interested not only in towns in Leningrad Region, but also in villages. Popular directions for reservations are Luga, Priozersk, Vyborg, Toksovo, Vyritsa, the village of Zaporozhskoe.
