The installation in the form of an iceberg appeared in the center of St. Petersburg

The project was dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica.

The anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica by Russian navigators Faddey Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev was celebrated with the implementation of the ArtAntarctica project. As part of the project, an installation in the form of a luminous iceberg was installed on Truda Square next to the Central Naval Museum and New Holland Island.

According to the organizers of the event, the surfaces and edges of the iceberg will become a platform for a video-mapping festival dedicated to the discovery and exploration of the Arctic and Antarctic, world travel and the role of St. Petersburg in the development of world geographical science.

The video performances will be broadcast at the exposition in the evening and at night. In total, three short films will be shown until January 12. It will be shown one after another daily from 17:00 to 01:00.
