Russians purchased cash back tours worth 6.5 billion rubles

This is reported by the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm). At the same time, the total amount of the refund to tourists was 1.2 billion rubles.

"As part of the program implemented by the Federal Tourism Agency to stimulate domestic tourist trips (tourist cashback), citizens, according to preliminary data, purchased tours and accommodation with cash back for 6.5 billion rubles (in total, the first and second sales windows). About 300 thousand people took part in the program. The state returned about 1.2 billion rubles to people for traveling around the country, "  - the report says.

Recall that the cash back was returned to the cards of the Mir payment system. According to the statistics of the agency, the main major tour operators during the period of the program, sales in relation to the same period last year increased by an average of 40%. The aggregators that participated in the program had an increase in bookings of about 10-15%. The activity of bookings in hotels of resort and recreational format over the same period has increased by an average of 15-20%.

"The government first implemented in tourism a comprehensive measure of support from both high social and economic effects, as well as a high multiplier of budget spending: 1 state ruble corresponds to 6 citizens’ ruble, which they spent on rest and recovery in the country", - said in Rosturizm.
