St. Petersburg ranked among top ten most popular travel destinations for February holidays

Tvil.ru accommodation booking service revealed the best-selling destinations in Russia for a long holiday weekend in February.

The Russians have three days off in a row – from February 21 to 23, 2021. The festive weekend is timed to the Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23.

Yalta and Sevastopol in Crimea, Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana in Krasnodar Territory, ski resorts Sheregesh, Dombay and Bannoye, as well as Moscow, St. Petersburg and Pereslavl-Zalessky made up the top ten popular travel and leisure destinations in February 2021.

According to the statistics of the online service, tourists plan 2 to 10 nights vacations for the February weekend, spending from 1678 to 7333 rubles per day on accommodation booking. Couples book inexpensive apartments and hotels in St. Petersburg for a romantic winter weekend on the banks of the Neva. Large groups of 13-14 people rent cottages in Pereslavl-Zalessky for February 23.

The list was compiled based on tourist accommodation bookings from 20 to 28 February 2021.
