Pushkin Day will be celebrated in St. Petersburg

More than 40 cultural events are planned in the city.

On February 10, 2021will be the 184th anniversary of the death ofA.S. Pushkin. The memory of the great poet will be honoured with more than 40 events. This was reported by “Gorod+” with reference to the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg.

Among the events - the opera “Eugene Onegin”, prepared by the St. Petersburg Opera Theatre, a musical sketch performance based on the opera “The Queen of Spades” at the “Petroconcert” and the premiere of the “Ruslan and Lyudmila” play at the Masterskaya Theatre.

The work of Andrey Petrov - the vocal and poetic symphony “Pushkin” - will be presented to the audience by the choir and symphony orchestra of the Capella. The E.S. Demmeni puppet theatre will have organized tours to the exposition of antique dolls. They were created for the theatre performances based on Pushkin's tales.

Also, excursions will be held at the Anna Akhmatova Museum in the Fountain House, the House-Museum of F.I. Chaliapin and the St. Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music. Exhibitions, games and conferences for young audiences will be prepared by the A.S. Pushkin Central Children's Library and the National Pushkin Museum.
