Experts have identified the most popular destinations for travel by train from February 21 to 23, RIA Novosti reports.
To compile the list, the data of bookings by users of tickets with departure from Moscow was analyzed. The average bill was 1,969 rubles per one-way ticket. This is five percent less than a year ago.
The first line of the rating was taken by the city on the Neva. The ticket price was 2.2 thousand rubles one way on average. This is 12 percent cheaper than last year.
The second place was taken by Nizhny Novgorod. Travelers can get here by train for a thousand rubles. Last year the price was up 22 percent. The third position went to Kazan. Travel to the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan became 42 percent cheaper and amounted to 1, 5 thousand rubles.
The rating also includes Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Rostov-on-Don, Tula, Smolensk, Sochi and Adler.
