The Baltic House theatre-festival will present the premiere of the Eight Loving Womenplay

On February 20, 21, and 28, the premiere performances of Lev Rakhlin's play Eight Loving Women will take place on the stage of the Baltic House theatre-festival.

The crime comedy by Robert Thomas is staged in theatres around the world. It has always been very popular. Still, the audience's interest was fueled even more by François Ozon’s film, starring the brilliant Catherine Deneuve, Fanny Ardant, and Isabelle Huppert.

The plot of the story revolves around a murder. The victim is a middle-aged man. The crime scene is a chalet lost in the snow near Paris. The alleged perpetrators are the victim's wife, daughter, stepdaughter, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, maid, housekeeper, and the victim’s sister.

Lev Rakhlin, director of the play: “The genre diversity of the play, which encompassestragedy, comedy, a detective story, and even a little bit of musical, allows the actressesto show all facets of their talent. I was lucky! Here and now, in the "Baltic House", in our play, an incredibly talented creative ensemble of brilliant eight loving women was formed. And I'm sure the viewers will get tremendous pleasure from watching!”.

The play’s cast includes Alexandra Kuznetsova, Varvara Markevich,honoured artist of Russia Natalia Nesterova,honoured artist of Russia Natalia Popova, Inna Volgina, Maria Meshcheryakova, Victoria Zhilina, honoured artist of Russia Irina Konopatskaya, IrinaMurtazaeva, MariaLysyuk.
