Representatives from over a hundred countries around the world took part in online discussions and events dedicated to the topic of tourism and its role in the international creative economy. The Federal Tourism Agency presented a special video project which features the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova talking on the subjects of the development of tourism in Russia, on the measures that have been taken to combat the pandemic and their effectiveness, on e-visas and the most popular travel destinations around the country, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi and Vladivostok. New opportunities and impressions, a unique synthesis of traditions and, of course, hospitality – all is combined in one video-invitation to travel across Russia.
“The idea of the project is to present different Russia - dynamic, modern, original; to convey its unique diversity through emphatic images, captivating shots. When it is midnight in Moscow, it is early morning in Vladivostok, when it is minus 50 degrees centigrade in Yakutia, the coldest point of the planet, it is 20 degrees in the resort town of Sochi; when lotuses are still blooming in the south, first aurora appears in the north. A centuries-old culture in which the influence of the West and the East, the traditions of all world religions and the heritage of more than a hundred nationalities are intertwined. This is Russia - a whole world in itself! ”- said Zarina Doguzova. The head of the department added that inbound tourism is one of the most important areas in the restoration of the industry and the participation of Rostourism in Pre-Expo-2020 is an opportunity to demonstrate Russia's openness and readiness to receive guests from all over the world after the epidemiological situation normalizes and international flights resume.
Changing expositions of the regions of the Russian Federation will be presented in the Russian pavilion at the "Expo" exhibition for six months.
