12 March 2021

The botanical garden staff told about the flowering, having prepared a special video. Visitors can see the plant on the Subtropical greenhouse route.

In the St. Petersburg Botanical Garden, Chinese wisteria (Wisteria sinensis (Sims) DC.) is blooming now. As noted in the message on the webpage of the garden in the social network "VKontakte", this is one of the most beautiful ornamental plants of the Fabaceae (legume) family.

“In Japan, the name of wisteria is consonant with one of the symbols of the country, Mount Fuji. We are waiting for you on the Subtropical route in the upcoming week, ”the message says.
