Saint Petersburg and Dagestan Tourist Information Centres Signed a Cooperation Agreement

The agreement was signed during the Intourmarket-2021 tourist exhibition in Moscow

International Tourist Exhibition Intourmarket-2021  took place in Moscow "Expocentre" exhibition hall  from 1 till 3 April.  It was attended by the representatives of the Saint Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development and  Saint Petersburg City Tourist Information Bureau.

On the first day of the exhibition, an agreement of cooperation was signed between the Saint Petersburg Tourist Information Bureau  and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Dagestan "Tourist Information Centre " Dagestan ". The heads of the institutions,  CTIB director Yuri Bogdanov and the director of the Dagestan state budgetary institution Gadzhimurad Magomedov have left their signatures in the document.

Tourism is one of the most promising economic sectors in Dagestan. Many types of tourism, such as cultural, educational, gastronomic, wellness, sports, extreme, as well as active one are actively developing in the Republic.

The total volume of inbound flow of organized tourists and sightseers to Dagestan in 2020 amounted to over 840 thousand people, and in 2019  to 850 thousand people.

45 routes are officially registered, in the Dagestan register of tourist routes, including the branded "Legends of Dagestan", which is planned to be introduced to the international tourist market. There are 23 small and medium-sized enterprises and more than 200 individual entrepreneurs manufacturing handicrafts in the republic.

Earlier it became known that the Rossiya airline, a member of the Aeroflot group, is starting to operate regular flights from Saint Petersburg to the Republic of Dagestan.
