A bus tour “Vivat, Heroes of Space!” took place in St. Petersburg

On April 9, 2021, a bus tour “Vivat, Heroes of Space!” was held in the city as part of the St. Petersburg Kaleidoscope project. The exciting trip was timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight.
The excursion introduced tourists to the historic sites in St. Petersburg associated with the origin and development of domestic aviation and rocketry.
During the tour, participants learned about the history of aviation and space exploration, about the creators of aircrafts and rocket engines, about Russian and Soviet pilots and astronauts mastering the sky and space. Tourists visited the Museum of Communications, the Planetarium and the Museum of Space Exploration.
“St. Petersburg Kaleidoscope” is an excursion project of the St. Petersburg state budgetary institution “City Tourist Information Bureau”, subordinate to the St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development. The project is being implemented on an ongoing basis, twice a month. All excursions of the project are free of charge.
