Manezhnaya Square will be turned into an alley of circus dynasties
13 April 2021
This Thursday, April 15, in honor of the World Circus Day in St. Petersburg, trees will be planted in Novo-Manezhny Square. The event will start at one o'clock in the afternoon.
11 maples will become symbols of 10 circus families, known to all lovers of this art, and the largest circus company in the world – «Rosgostsirk». Trees of such surnames as Guinne and Cinizelli, Zapashnykh and Nikulin, Abakarov and Sudarchikov, Kornilov and Bagdasarov, as well as Kostyuk will appear in the square.
The place for new seedlings is not accidental. Here, until the 70s of the XIX century, the wooden circus of Karl Guinne gave performances to the public.
Trees of circus performers will undoubtedly decorate the square on Manezhnaya Square near the Great St. Petersburg Circus.
