Sergey Korneev: North-West Suburban Passenger Company helps passengers discover new destinations

11 April 2021

On April 11, 2021, North-West Suburban Passenger Company celebrated its 15th anniversary. Sergey Korneev, Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development, congratulated the company on this memorable occasion:

“As the main transport operator in our region, NWSPC launches new routes, develops suburban infrastructure, and improves the level of service. All this makes railroad travel the safest and most comfortable means of transportation. Nowadays, when domestic tourism is gaining more and more popularity, NWSPC helps passengers to discover new destinations.

For example, Lastochka trains cover such tourist routes as Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Gatchina, Zelenogorsk, Oranienbaum, Priozersk and Peterhof. NWSPC provides residents and guests of our city with an opportunity to visit these places, get acquainted with their history and culture and feel like tourists in our own home country by getting out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I think that by combining our competencies, we will create really impactful and challenging projects that will help increase interest in travel even more, as well as develop and popularize suburban railway tourism. Let me express my gratitude to the entire staff of NWSPC JSC for their responsible approach to work and their devotion to the common cause.

I am sure that professionalism and deep knowledge will help you ensure the development of the suburban passenger complex in the future. With all my heart I wish you and your loved ones good health, best of luck, optimism and new professional achievements!”
