Petersburg, Pskov, Novgorod and Vyborg received press tours of the Forum "Dialogue of Cultures"

The XV International Media Forum of Young Journalists "Dialogue of Cultures" was held in St. Petersburg from 14 to 16 April. As part of the event, press tours to the cities of the Silver Necklace of Russia took place.
The trips for aspiring journalists were supported by the Committee for the Development of Tourism of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Tourism of the Pskov Region, the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the Leningrad Region and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Novgorod Region.
It unites the cities, which passed the press tours of the forum "Dialogue of Cultures" and which participated in the "Silver Necklace of Russia". A unique project of 11 regions of the Russian North-West, along with the "Golden Ring", will become a tourist brand in Russia.
In the northern capital, during a sightseeing walking tour, young authors got acquainted with the history of the founding of the city, and also saw both classical sights and modern creative spaces.
In Pskov, the forum participants visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Pskov-Pechora Holy Dormition Monastery and the Linen Gubernia Museum, listened to educational master classes from recognized meters and met with the acting chairman of the Pskov Region Tourism Committee, Marina Egorova.
In Vyborg, an excursion walk passed through the old town, the embankment and the park of sculptures at the State Hermitage Museum. The culmination of the trip was a visit to the library of the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto and a master class from the Spanish documentary filmmaker Ricardo Markin.
In Veliky Novgorod, aspiring writers learned about the role of this ancient city in the life of the composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, and also during a bus tour and walking tours they visited the Novgorod Detinets and the Desyatinniy Monastery, visited the Rurik settlement and Yaroslav's courtyard. The final point of the excursion was the Yuryev Monastery.
Let us remind you that the media forum of young journalists “Dialogue of Cultures” is traditionally held in St. Petersburg. For 14 years now, it has been the largest platform in Russia for the exchange of views and professional experience between representatives of various areas of traditional journalism and new media.
