From "Dobrovision" to volunteering

On May 24, 2021, on the Day of Remembrance of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Brothers Cyril and Methodius, on the Day of Slavic Culture and Writing, a gala concert of laureates and honorary guests of the VI International Folk Song Festival “Dobrovidenie” will take place on the site of the multifunctional sports and concert complex "Sibur Arena"

This bright holiday, which has been bringing together various folk artists from all over Russia and neighboring countries for more than five years, is a symbol of harmony, peace and goodness. The festival is rightfully considered an example of international cultural cooperation, an original and outstanding event in the cultural life of our country.

In 2016, the Dobrovision festival was launched by Hero of the Soviet Union, cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, People's Artist of the USSR, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Iosif Kobzon, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Oleg Nilov, who acted as founders of Dobrovision. Today, the festival's trustees include the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma Sergei Neverov, leader of the Fair Russia party Sergei Mironov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Nelly Kobzon, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Mikhailov, rector St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture Alexander Turgaev, ambassadors and consuls of different countries, as well as many prominent politicians, entrepreneurs and public figures.

This year the festival will be held for the sixth time. The State Omsk Russian Folk Choir, the State Ensemble of Song and Dance of the Don Cossacks named after A.N. Kvasov, the ensemble of folk music "Vataga", the winners of the show "Voice" Hieromonk Fotiy and Peter Zakharov, the ensemble "Birdie", the choir of the Valaam Monastery and other performers. The guest of honor of the program is the Russian center "Play, accordion" on Channel One with Anastasia and Zakhar Zavolokin.

The event will be held with the support of economist and philanthropist Roman Vasilenko, Gazprom, Rosselkhozbank and Russian Railways. The festival will traditionally be attended by distinguished guests: Hero of the Soviet Union, cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Nelly Kobzon, members of the Government, regional governors, State Duma deputies and senators. The main director of the festival is the Laureate of the National Prize and the Prize of the Government of St. Petersburg, Professor Askold Konovich. The TV broadcast will be carried out by the general information partner of the festival - the TV channel "Saint Petersburg".
