In the Lower Park of Peterhof, a two-year restoration of the Catherine's building has been completed. The first visitors will be able to get into it on May 21. This was reported by the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg.
As noted, the opening is timed to the 35th anniversary of the first large-scale restoration of the museum. It ended on May 25, 1986.
As the committee of tourism said, “In addition to the restoration tasks, the employees of the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve made an attempt to adapt the exposition of the Catherine's building to the needs of modern visitors. The museum is equipped with ramps for people with limited mobility. All halls of the museum are provided with annotations not only in Russian and English, but also in Braille”.
