Music festival "Palaces of St. Petersburg" will start this weekend

The XXIX International Music Festival "Palaces of St. Petersburg" will be held in the Northern Capital from May 22 to September 12, 2021. Leading performers from Russia, Italy, Armenia and Spain will take part in the concerts.
The festival was honored to hold its first concerts in such significant halls as the restored Court Resurrection Church of the Great Tsarskoye Selo Palace, the Throne Hall of the Mikhailovsky Castle, which became possible for the first time since the period of Emperor Paul I.
It should be noted that the opening of the festival will take place in the Mikhailovsky Castle. The concert will feature arias and scenes from the opera The Magic Flute, 40th symphony by Mozart, concert symphony by Dmitry Bortnyansky and the anthem of the Order of Malta, whose grandmaster was Paul I.
Performers are the soloists of the Yerevan Opera Liparit Avetisyan (tenor), Mary Movsisyan (soprano), Hasmik Torosyan (coloratura soprano), Kim Sargsyan (baritone). The concert will be accompanied by the Tavrichesky International Symphony Orchestra. Conductor - Vasily Sinaisky.
