Tour of the Euro 2020 Cup starts in St. Petersburg

On May 22 and 23, 2021, the city on the Neva River will meet the main award of the upcoming European Championship.
The Henri Delaunay Cup, a trophy that the winner of Euro 2020 will raise over his head, begins its journey visiting the host countries of the upcoming continental championship, according to the press service of Football Club Zenit.
The tour starts this weekend in St. Petersburg - on May 22 and 23, a number of key locations in our city will host the cup in the company of the world and European champion from France David Trezeguet.
The first stop on the route is the Gazprom Arena, where seven matches of Euro 2020 will take place. On Saturday, May 22, an excursion for children from St. Petersburg social institutions and a press approach with the participation of David Trezeguet and Alexei Sorokin, general director of the organizing committee for EURO 2020 in St. Petersburg, will take place at the stadium.
Then the cup will move to the Mariinsky Theater, where a choreographic performance will take place with the participation of students from the Boris Eifman Dance Academy, football players from the Gazprom Academy and ballet dancers.
The program will continue with a journey along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg - at this moment, doctors and medical personnel who fought the coronavirus pandemic will join the tour.
The next point of the route is the exhibition-installation "Apartment N. 60". Later, the trophy will be delivered to the Football Park on Hare Island, where the grand opening of the exhibition will take place at 20:00 St. Petersburg time with the participation of officials, football stars and fans.
All Sunday, May 23, the cup will be located in the Football Park - from 10:00 to 22:00 it will be possible to make a photo with the legendary award, as well as to take part in various football competitions, quizzes and giveaways, get an autograph of David Trezeguet and watch the football freestyle show.
The European Championship will be held from June 11 to July 11, 2021. The teams of Russia, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden, as well as the participants of one of the quarterfinals of the tournament, will play their matches in St. Petersburg.
