An agreement on cooperation in the tourism industry was signed between St. Petersburg and Moldova

On September 7, 2021, at the Leisure-2021 exhibition in Moscow, the City Tourist Information Bureau of St. Petersburg and the National Association of Business and Industrial Tourism “Pro Turism Moldova” signed a cooperation agreement.

It is planned that the parties will mutually share information about the natural and cultural wealth, the historical potential of their regions, as well as about current tourism products and hospitality facilities.

St. Petersburg and Moldova launched the work on the mutual promotion of tourism products, including the placement of information about the development of tourism in the regions on the official tourism Internet resources. It is supposed to provide reference, informational and methodological materials on tourism, as well as mutual information about current tourism programs and concepts.

During the signing of the agreement, the ceremony participants emphasized that there are already opportunities for creating new joint tourism products aimed at developing the gastronomic tourism potential of the regions. A number of interesting prospects for cooperation in this topical area have been outlined.


In April 2021, St. Petersburg hosted the Days of the Republic of Moldova, during which the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban signed a Roadmap for cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural fields to develop ties between St. 2021-2024 years.

Active interaction between St. Petersburg and Chisinau began in 2020 - in February, at the request of the Moldovan side, St. Petersburg sent a group of specialists to design the St. Petersburg Park in Chisinau and update the city's master plan. The park project was prepared by July 2020.
