St. Petersburg is hosting “Inspiration of the Arctic” festival

The festival will be dedicated to the art of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Russian Far East.

The first festival “Inspiration of the Arctic”, dedicated to the art of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Russian Far East, will take place in the Tavrichesky Garden on September 14-15, 2021.

The festival programme includes northern folklore performances presented by creative teams from Chukotka, Kamchatka, Yakutia, Taimyr, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Murmansk Region and St. Petersburg. In addition, guests will be able to attend arts and crafts workshops, folk games and competitions.

The “Inspiration of the Arctic” festival is organized by the Association of Native Minorities of the North, Siberia and the Russian Far East at the request of the St. Petersburg Arctic Affairs Committee within the framework of the departmental project “St. Petersburg – Centre for Ethnocultural Development of the Nationalities of the North”.

The opening of the festival will take place on September 14 at 12 p.m.

Venue: Tavrichesky Garden, a platform in front of the chess club pavilion.

Free admission. Age limit: 0+

The event is held in compliance with sanitary requirements.
