Marble (Palladian) Bridge or the Siberian Marble Gallery is located in the picturesque area of the Catherine Park near the Great Pond.

The bridge stands under the narrow canal connecting the Great Pond with the one near-by, where the archipelago of 7 islets was created. On these islets in the houses painted by A. Rinaldi’s drawings lived the swans. To this day the islets retain the name “Swan Islands”. Bridges in the British Stowe and Wilton parks created on the basis of A. Palladiov’s project served as a model for the Marble Bridge built by Russian architect V. Neelov.
