Solyany lane - a lane in the central part of St. Petersburg, passing from Tchaikovsky Street to Pestel Street.
In diffrent times here lived such famous citizens as composer Tchaikovsky and architect Visconti.
The name of this street is translated as "salty" because of the salterns that stood here in the XVIII century.
At present times there are two museums located here – Museum of handycraft and Museum of Leningrad Blocade.
