Memorial "Lembolovskaya Stronghold"


The memorial "Lembolovskaya stronghold" was erected in 1967 by the working people of the Vasileostrovsky district of Leningrad at the border line, where in September 1941 parts of the 23rd Army stopped the Finnish troops offensive. The vertical stele depicts bas-reliefs of mother and child, on two pylons - the dates of the defense of Leningrad "1941-44" and the bas-relief "Fragment of the battle". Architects A. I. Gutov, Yu. M. Tsarikovsky; sculptor B. A. Svinin; engineer N.I. Sedov. The memorial is part of the Green Belt of Glory memorial complex.
