Demetra Art Hotel is a new four star 60-room boutique hotel in the very centre of Saint-Petersburg. The apartment house building that houses the hotel nowadays was built in 1913 upon the project of architect Wilhelm Van der Gucht, one of the brightest representatives of late eclecticism and art nouveau in the architecture of early 20th century. The hotel is within walking distance of Nevsky Avenue, the central street in Saint Petersburg, Moscow Rail Terminal, the main railway station, as well as many city sights.
The unique interior of the hotel rooms has been designed by the Italian Studio Rossi Cattaneo. The floors of the hotel reproduce the styles of various epochs of Saint Petersburg’s 300-year history: two levels show 18th century imperial classics, two levels reproduce 19th century baroque style, and the other three were inspired by 20th century Art Nouveau movement. All this makes it possible to change the idea without changing hotels every time you come to Saint Petersburg. Every room is unique in its own way and different from the others, but they do have something in common: in each of them guests will find the Italian designer furniture, comfortable beds, oak wood flooring and, of course, cosy slippers. The spacious air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a safe, a mini-bar, high speed internet, and high-quality telephone services. Equipped confrence hall.
