The City Tourist Information Bureau together with the Nevsky Centre shopping complex presented their recommendations for travelling around St. Petersburg.
The autumn season is a great time to walk around the most romantic city, praised by dozens of writers and poets. The warm sun still pleasantly shines, and this is a great reason to visit city sites in the fresh air. Sevkabel Port is the place where the city meets the sea. The pedestrian embankment overlooking the Gulf of Finland, which was opened by the Port, is a new hallmark of the city. More than 600 events are held on the territory and in the spaces of Sevkabel Port every year. Educational programmes, performances, concerts, exhibitions, sports activities, markets, film screenings, and festivals - this is the liveliest event platform in Russia.

Nikolsky Ryady ("the Merchant`s Rows of St. Nicholas") is one of the newest public spaces of St. Petersburg located in the heart of the city. The yard of the "Rows" gives St. Petersburg residents and guests the opportunity to hide from the noisy city streets, enjoy master classes, have a snack in the summer food market, listen to lectures or just relax in the shade and coolness of indoor greenery.
It is where artists perform and creative spots function. The observation tower with a panoramic view of the historical center of St. Petersburg is an important attraction of this public space as well.

LENPOLIGRAFMASH Techno Park
The LENPOLIGRAFMASH Techno Park, located on the territory of one of the oldest enterprises in St. Petersburg, is an urban space for masters of creative industries, designers, entrepreneurs. Visit workshops of the Design Park, try advanced cuisine in numerous cafes and restaurants and see how startups create innovative technologies.
The ecosystem of the LENPOLIGRAFMASH Techno Park is formed in such a way as to ensure the connection of new technologies with creative spheres: design, architecture and urbanism.

Land of Forts
Land of Forts museum and history park happens to be Russia’s first and biggest park dedicated to the Navy. In that park you will find thematic areas which will tell you about the history of the Russian Navy. The main objects of the park, that attract visitors are the Alley of Admirals and the Memorial Lighthouse with 200 names of heroic seamen.
The park has become a part of Land of Forts large-scale project. Within its framework, there are also the Museum of Naval Glory, a well-arranged embankment, an exhibition center and other attraction points being created.

Public space on naberezhnaya reki Karpovki
On naberezhnaya reki Karpovki st. (Karpovka river emb. st.), between First Pavlov State Medical University and Chapayeva st., there is a comfortable space for rest, recreation and entertainment. It is equipped with environment-friendly wooden benches. Swings, chin-up bars, cycling tracks and even a zone for walking pets are arranged there.
Earlier on, that part of the embankment used to be closed for public. It opened in 2017. “Petrogradets” yacht-club is situated on this territory as well.

Recreation area on Krestovsky Island
The landscaped embankment of the Yuzhnaya doroga (“the South Road”) on Krestovsky Island appeared in 2018. On the embankment, loungers, a playground, and an area with outdoor exercise equipment were installed for the recreation purposes of locals and tourists. Here, a wooden flooring and tables for playing table tennis appeared, trees were planted under which you can take a break and hide from the sun.
The embankment is famous as one of the best places to greet sunrises and enjoy sunsets. It offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Finland and the sights of St. Petersburg. Besides, you can get a great tan in sunny weather.

Primorskiy park Pobedy: “Divo Island” and “calligraffiti” from Pokras Lampas
One of the largest recreation areas in St. Petersburg - Primorsky Park Pobedy - is located next to one of the most visited stadiums in the Old World - Gazprom Arena. A picturesque alley leads from the Krestovsky Ostrov metro station to the stadium. And along the way there is "Divo Ostrov" – a theme park with more than 45 amusement rides.
In the center of Victory Park, around the fountain, there is a bright tricolor graffiti on the pavement, on which you can freely walk. It was painted by the famous calligrapher under the pseudonym Pokras Lampas. The artwork gained popularity among users of social networks, who enjoy making original photographs there.
