A Trilateral Agreement on the implementation of transport and tourism projects in water transport was signed by the chairmen of the Committee for Tourism Development and the Committee for Transport of St. Petersburg together with ROSSIYA Bank. The ceremony took place at the site of the 16th International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Shipbuilding, Shipping, Port Activities, Ocean and Shelf

Recognizing that the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation meets the interests of the population, as well as attaching special importance to the support and development of the transport and tourist potential of the city, taking into account the peculiarities of the development of transport, tourist and other ties of St. Petersburg with the subjects of the North-West region of Russia, the parties agreed to develop cooperation and exchange experience in the implementation of joint projects for the development of water transport and tourism.

“The water routes of St. Petersburg are one of the brightest, most saturated and have long become the hallmark of the city. Our goal is to secure for St. Petersburg the status of the capital of water tourism in Russia, and today's signing will accelerate this process. It is all the more remarkable that it took place within the framework of the Tourism Week in the Northern Capital,”noted Sergei Korneev, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development.

As Pavel Petrovsky, Senior Vice President of ROSSIYA Bank, emphasized, St. Petersburg is a unique city with great potential for the development of both domestic and international tourism. ROSSIYA Bank participates in various projects implemented by the Government of the city, including the organization of the alumni holiday “Scarlet Sails”, and is ready to support its undertakings in the field of transport and tourism. We hope that our cooperation will develop and become more and more fruitful. "
