Botanical Gardens of St. Petersburg State University

The Botanical Garden of St Petersburg University is located in the inner courtyard of the University, to the west of the Twelve Collegia building, on a rectangular plot of land stretching from the southeast to the northwest.
The garden includes three greenhouses and an open-ground area, with a total area of about 1.8 hectares. In the center is the palm greenhouse building, built in the 1970s. In the northwestern part is a two-story seed laboratory building with a greenhouse. In the southeastern part is an arboretum park with a historic pond and old-growth trees. Nowadays, visiting the Botanical Garden is only possible as part of scheduled excursions.
