Bolshaya Morskaya str., 47
The Vladimir Nabokov Museum is located on the ground floor of a three-storey building on Bolshaya Morskaya Street. The mansion of the early modern style belonged to the writer's family before the revolution and emigration from Russia. The interiors of the dining room and library in the style of Ludwig XV have been preserved on the ground floor of the house.
The museum was opened on the occasion of the writer's centenary in 1999, and has been part of St. Petersburg State University since 2008. The museum has a collection of personal belongings of the writer, as well as an extensive collection of books by Vladimir Nabokov. The exhibition features a unique collection of butterflies by the writer, which has no analogues in Russia today.
