The museum is named after Senior Lieutenant Zinovy Grigorievich Kolobanov, whose company fought a battle on the outskirts of Leningrad on August 20, 1941, that has no analogues in military history - the company, consisting of 5 tanks, destroyed 43 enemy tanks, and Zinovy Kolobanov and his crew destroyed 22 fascist tanks.

The museum's exposition presents military equipment that participated in the fierce battles for Leningrad, including a tank commanded by V. I. Lastochkin, who took part in the legendary battle of Kolobanov's company.

Most of the equipment was destroyed in the battles for Leningrad and was later found by searchers. Some exhibits were returned from private foreign collections. The legendary vehicles were brought back to life by the Museum's specialists and now tell about those who fought in them and died liberating Leningrad.

A unique exposition, which has no analogues in the world, allows you to touch the history of the battle for Leningrad with your own hands and see the fates of the participants in the longest and fiercest battle in the history of the Great Patriotic War behind the harsh iron machines.
