At the museum, you will learn how the «guardians of the seas» have changed over the centuries. You will see models of lighthouses and giant lenses, the oldest of which was made in 1857.
The museum's exhibits include devices used on lighthouses, buoys, and navigational signs in Russia, countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Europe.
Many of the exhibits are in working order, so the guides will demonstrate how the devices work or even let you try your hand at operating them. For example, you can sound a fog signal and «save» a ship.
