St. Petersburg is a city of bridges and it is not surprising that there is a museum dedicated to these amazing structures in the Northern capital.
The "Museum of Bridges" is a branch of the Central Museum of Railway Transport of the Russian Federation. The exhibition presents absolutely unique models, paintings, photographs and drawings. The collection was formed over two centuries, and the oldest exhibit dates back to 1762. In total, the museum presents more than 100 models that reveal the development history of not only bridge construction, but also engineering thought in general. Many of them are still operational.
