What does glass consist of? What temperature is needed to melt glass? These and other questions will be answered by the masters on the show program "The Secret of the Glassblower".

The program introduces visitors to the work of the Glass Blowing Workshop, the traditions of glassblowing craftsmanship and reveals the secrets of transforming glass into a true work of art.

The participants of the show see the transformation of the molten hot mass into a unique piece of art. The host of the program explains in detail all the actions of the master, talks about how the blowing furnaces in the Workshop work and what tools are used for work. The master glassblower demonstrates how the material behaves at high temperatures, how plastic it can be, like honey, and fragile, like thin ice.

A variety of forms, plastic solutions and originality of execution acquire in the hands of the master a living embodiment of artistic ideas and fantasies. Spectators watch as fragile New Year's toys, decorations and elegant decorative items in the Venetian style are born from an amorphous mass of hot glass.

As a keepsake of the visit to the Glass Blowing Workshop on Elagin Island, each participant receives a glass souvenir.
