Olga Bergholtz Museum | School № 340 of the Nevsky District)
Olgi Bergholtz ul., 27
The school museum has four exhibition sections: “O.F. Bergholz’s Room,” “Blockade Room,” “Place of Memory,” and a section dedicated to the neighborhood and the school.
The initiative to create a museum in the Nevskaya Zastava area, where Olga Berggolts was born and raised, was put forward by the residents of the microdistrict. The idea was supported by the district administration and the staff of the school, which housed an evacuation hospital during the war. The museum recreates the interior of Olga Berggolts's siege room and office, and a memorial plaque to the poetess has been installed. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the history of the school and the microdistrict.
The museum is open not only to schoolchildren, but also to anyone who wants to get acquainted with the life and work of the famous Leningrader.
