In 1995, a parish was registered on the site of the church, and in 1997 a wooden chapel was built. It was created thanks to the efforts of parishioners led by Anastasia Yurievna Herbstein, a person with disabilities.

In 1998, the architect Valentina Zalevskaya created a project of a stone temple Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos as part of the temple complex. Construction began a year later, and on April 7, 2003, on the Annunciation Day, the church opened to parishioners.

The peculiarity of the new temple was that it was originally built for the purpose of being accessible to people with disabilities. In addition to the church already built, the project of the temple complex includes the Temple of the Nativity with a capacity for 1000 people. Its construction began in 2006 and has not yet been completed.
