Russian sociologist Pyotr Lavrovich Lavrov (pseudonym - Mirtov) lived here
In 1903-1906, house No. 62 was built - the mansion of S. S. Botkin. At the beginning of the 19th century, house No. 9 on the corner of Potemkinskaya and Furshtatskaya streets housed the literary salon of Sofia Dmitrievna Ponomareva. It was visited by N. Gnedich, A. Delvig, E. Baratynsky, V. I. Panayev, I. Krylov, K. Ryleyev.
