JFC Jazz Club

Shpalernaya ul., 33

A small room of one hundred square meters, a stage against a brick wall, tables and music…

JFC Jazz Club is the only place in St. Petersburg where original music performed by professional musicians is played every evening. The range of stylistic fluctuations here is huge - from Dixieland to avant-garde, from blues to jazz-rock, funk and acid jazz, from mainstream to ethnic or Latin American music. Musicians hang out at JFC.

JFC is the most popular jazz place in the city. Both fashionistas come here, that is, people who react sharply to everything new and fresh, and jazz connoisseurs.

And this is not surprising, because the following have performed here: American jazzmen - Eddie Gomez (double bass), Lenny White (drums) in a joint project with Russians Andrey Kondakov (keyboards) and Igor Butman (saxophone); Randy Brecker's ensemble (trumpet); saxophonists Courtney Pine, Harry Bartz, guitarist Paul Bollenback, vocalist Napua Devoy; the French-Russian-German project "INTERJAZZ"; such bright representatives of new jazz as Vladimir Tarasov (drums), Vyacheslav Ganelin (piano), Arkady Shilkloper (French horn), Nat Rotenberg (saxophone), Kishevan Maslak (saxophone), Sainkho (vocals); folk music performers - Sergey Starostin (vocals), Enver Izmailov (guitar); classical musicians - Sergey Stadler (violin) and many, many others.
